The Mac Book Air is the newest Tech that Apple has realist this year and was first previewed at CES. At CES Steve Jobs revealed this "wondrous" machine after he announced new updates for the IPhone and A rental center for ITunes. Now the main platform or the whole purpose of this thing is that it is the worlds thinnest notebook (laptop) and can fit in side a Manila envelope. So many people were so exited for the Mac book air that they went out buying them without realizing what they were getting in to. To start of the Mac air has no disk drive, But they sell one separately, has wireless problems from time to time, and they have a hard drive with 80 gigs of memory (that is not enough space for a portable lap top, that's enough memory for a Ipod). Then for 64 more gigs of memory (the ssd drive) you would have to pay another $999 hardly worth the price and it has no expandable memory. 1 usb port, no built-in Ethernet or modem, so you will have to carry some dongles with you if you care about that stuff. The built-in microphone has poor quality, and the Fujitsu Q2010 is 0.5mm thicker with way more features. Still the Mac book air has some good features. It is the world thinnest note book (every one knows that), an oversize track pad with multi-touch technology Similar to the IPhone, a 13.3 inch lcd screen, an a little secreat pull-down compartment that reveals a USB port, headphone jack, and a micro-DVI port that supports DVI, VGA, composite, and S-video output. full size Back lit keybord (it lites up in the dark) and thats about it. The Mac Book Air will set you back about $1799.
